Our passion is DeTomaso and our inspiration is the comradery shared amongst owners, enthusiasts, and gearheads young and old. We also share in the love for the heart of our beasts and participate in numerous Ford and Shelby events in the North Texas region. Our club is going through a renewal so if you're just a fan and/or also an owner - this would be a great club for you to join and participate in.

We're resurrecting our site and social media presence so check back and look for updates. Also, you can submit your email in the "Contact Us" link, or look at the Calendar of events and join us at one of our gatherings!

Whether you own, or are a fan of, a rare Vallelunga one of the first mid-engine cars ever sold to the public, a Mangusta - created as a foe to the Cobra (Pictured here), a Longchamp, or the Pantera (in any of its iterations), we welcome you.

We had a great outing at the 2026 British vs. Italian Car Show at the DFW Car and Toy Museum. Nine Panteras were out in the wild and drawing a crowd with many smiles!
Along with our monthly gatherings as a club, we try to unite and attend some of the most popular events in our City, Region, and National level.

June - 2025 brunch and show! Sharing great friendship, food, drinks, laughter, and fun in keeping the den of Panteras running smoothly!

Current DFW Pantera Club Secretary
POCA Member since 2023
In his words......
The main lesson in Pantera ownership is NEVER, EVER sell it.
I was the second owner of my first Pantera, and she was a solid, daily driver. When I retired from
the Navy in 1989, we had 3 cars and 2 drivers. We didn’t know where our next careers might be, so I sold our first Pantera.
As the new owner fired her up (Crower roller cam) and drove away, I wanted to chase him down the street and say,
“Take your check back and get out of my Pantera!”.
Second lesson. We love our second Pantera and will NEVER sell it.
The first time I saw a Pantera was ...
I don’t recall the first sighting but the first time I inspected and drove one was in 1980, and I bought that one!
Today, with our second Pantera, I stay prepared for a car show when we take her for a spin. Panteras are rare and everyone is
interested. I will open the engine bay and even let kids sit in the driver’s seat.
The usual comment is “I’ve never seen a Pantera in person”.
Recently, we found a young man just looking at our Pantera. He said, “Is this REAL?”
Favorite Memory
Pantera National Rally-Las Vegas 1984. San Diego Panteras and Los Angeles Panteras join for a single file caravan to Las Vegas.
One of the LA Club members had a black Pantera that was about to be repainted. He painted the doors white,
included a star and “Rally Patrol” on the doors. He added a magnetic
flashing yellow light bar to the roof. The caravan never stopped for traffic lights!!
The Rally attracted Panteras from all over the country. On Saturday afternoon, we had a car show on main street just down
from the Union Plaza Hotel, Rally Headquarters. About 3 blocks of Main Street had been blocked off for the show.
With all the Panteras (I think about 150+) lined up 4 abreast, our entry parade drew out the casino crowds.
The engine resonance caused the poker chips to vibrate on the tables. We then backed in diagonally
on both sides on the street covering 3 blocks. Fantastic sight. Imagine strolling down the middle of about
150+ Panteras with a cold beer in hand on a sunny Las Vegas afternoon.
I still get goose bumps!
Little known fact about me ....
During a cross-country trip from California to New Jersey in 1986, my wife (Mercedes 450 SL) and I (‘72 Pantera)
were awarded sequential numbered speed warning tickets from an Arizona State Trooper!!
Advice to anyone looking to join the DeTomaso family ....
“Pantera Fever” is REAL. Symptoms include obsession with shiny things, blindness to reality,
erotic Pantera hallucinations, financial irresponsibility, and LOVE!
The most important decision is to first join the Pantera Owners’ Club of America (poca.com).
They have experts throughout the USA and can get you in
contact with local chapters that can advise and accompany you on your quest.
They will even inspect a car in another location in your behalf and report their findings.
Pantera International on Facebook will provide the same services and advice as well.
Learn what updates are desirable to allow total enjoyment of your Pantera and purchase one that has already been updated.
Never purchase a Pantera alone unless you are already a Pantera expert and have been
vaccinated to prevent “The Fever”. Even then, take a Pantera Buddy with you.
Plan to inspect and drive the potential purchase several times. Request a list and documents confirming all upgrades
and all known history of the car. Run the VIN by the local POCA chapter and POCA Historian to seek additional history.
Good Luck! It’s going to be a blast!
